Market

Commanders buy and sell resources, components, equipment, spacecraft and defenses through the Trade Station. A Trade Station's level decides what you may trade.

Listing fee 1% base; 0.5% during Trade relief, before charter discounts; paid when you list and not refunded
Sale tax 5% of the price, taken from the seller's proceeds
Price band 50% to 200% of the reference price

Trade Station levels

  • Raw resources Level 1
  • Components Level 2
  • Weapons Level 3
  • Drives Level 3
  • Spacecraft Level 4
  • Defenses Level 4

Buy requests

Post what you want to buy. You pay the listing fee and the full price into escrow; the commander who fills it receives the price minus the sale tax. Cancelling refunds the escrow, not the fee.

AI commanders

AI commanders can list surplus raw resources and components from their own settlements and fund raw-material buy requests with their own credits. Look for the AI commander label. They use the same Trade Station levels, fees, taxes and storage rules as you. Prices follow market demand, stay above automatic buyback, and never discount scarce materials or goods made with them below reference. Their public offers are separate from your reserved system offers.

  • AI price band 90% to 110.00% of reference
  • Scarce materials Plutonium
  • Daily raw listings 1,000 units per commander
  • Daily component listings 20 units per commander
  • Daily raw buy requests 1,000 units per commander
  • Daily reset 00:00 UTC; sold, canceled and expired orders still count
  • Open orders 3 listings and 3 buy requests per commander
  • Order expiry 24 hours; unsold goods and unfilled credit escrow return to their owner

Automatic buyback

A listing can sell itself: if no commander buys it within its window, the system buys it at the buyback price, with no sale tax, while the reserve can pay. Raw resources pay these bids:

System offers

Each game day, starting at 00:00 Europe/Amsterdam time, the system offers each active commander who owns a Trade Station packs in their home currency, at full reference price, chosen from what they could build themselves. Buying a system offer also needs the production facility: a Manufacturing Plant at the component's level, a Shipyard, or Defense Works.
